RADICAL PRINTS FOR RADICAL LIFESTYLES

Making A Outline in Adobe Illustrator

If you are using an uncommon font in your vector artwork, then there is a good chance that printer’s art department may not own that font. To avoid missing font problems, we recommend “outlining” all fonts in vector and pdf documents before submitting. This is a simple task and and can be accomplished by following these steps:

1. First open your vector document in illustrator and make sure that all text objects are modifiable by unlocking all of the layers.

2. As an added precaution, ensure that all objects are unlocked by choosing “Unlock All” from the Object menu.

3. Now just select all objects and then choose “Create Outlines” from the Type menu. Boom – all vectors!
